Finalizing our Plot

Me and my group have decided the main plot that may have some deviations later on depending on how much time we have.  

It starts with our main character, Maddie, being in class along with her classmates waiting for the bell to ring signaling summer starting. When she leaves school, everyone is overjoyed that school ended but Maddie doesn’t feel the same way as her peers. She gets in the car with her two friends that are dropping her off at her house. Her friends talk about their summer plans between them, excluding Maddie. When she finally gets home, she walks into her house being empty. She calls out to her parents but there’s no reply. So, she goes to the kitchen and decides to make herself a snack. While she’s eating her food, she’s scrolling through social media. She goes to text her friend if she wants to hang out, but she sees her friend is already hanging out with someone else, so she doesn’t send it. She turns her phone off and goes to her room. She enters, drops her school bag, and goes to close her blinds and turn her small lamp on to write in her diary. However, she can’t find her special pen that her friend gave to her when she moved away. When she finds her pen, she starts writing about how she’s dreading the next few months and how she doesn’t know if she wants to live this summer. Suddenly, her mom comes in and tries to get her excited about summer and offers to go eat ice cream and the opening ends with them leaving the house. 

This is going to be our main plot, but we might have to develop more scenes or trim some parts depending on how much time is left over or exceeded.
